Arkabutla is a rural farming community located in Tate County, Mississippi. Visitors always comment on how peaceful our community is, yet how easy it is to get here! Arkabutla is located about 35 miles south of Memphis, TN, and is easily accessible via I-55 from the east or US Hwy 61 from the west.
Our Volunteer Fire Department was established in 1975. Currently our primary coverage area is approximately 50 square miles which includes about 1,100 homes. We maintain two fire stations. Our main station is located in Arkabutla and our second station is located in the Cottonville community.
Our goal is to provide quality fire fighting and prevention services in a timely manner to all constituents in our fire district.
